Girls Got Game: SUBMISSION PERIOD EXTENDED!
Hello, we hope you are having fun finishing up your games. That being said, we have a big announcement to make:
‼️ The submission deadline will be pushed to Saturday (6/23) @ 11:59 PM PST‼️
We hope that this extra day will be useful for you all, so you can add your final touches and test your games!
--
Additionally, we have a couple more important announcements about submissions:
1) Please have EVERYONE on your team register on Devpost:
https://girls-got-game-jam.devpost.com/
We know this is different from what we said earlier, but part of our judging process depends on community voting. It would be great if everyone from your team could participate in voting, so please have everyone register! One member from your team can start the project, then invite everyone else as team members (you can see this in the workshop video/slides).
2) We prefer if you could submit a LINK to a web based version of your game
You can use itch.io, github, etc. to host your game. However, if it is really impossible for you to do this, there is a section to upload zip files on the "Additional Information" page in Devpost. (Please don't try to edit your game after submission. I will be checking the games right after the deadline anyways.)
3) We will have COMMUNITY VOTING from 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM PST on Sunday (6/24)
In our judging process, the leads will score all games, then nominate a 5-10 for final review. The top 5 voted games that were not nominated by the leads will also be nominated for final review! The winners will be chosen from the nominated games.

If you have not seen our Devpost & Judging workshop yet, I highly recommend you check it out. It includes a live demo of project submission and review of the judging process.

You can always start your Devpost project, save it, then come back and edit later. I suggest that you all get your project started soon so you don't have any surprises in the few hours before submission.
Questions?
If you have any questions about the hackathon, please post on the discussion forum.
